Graduating Seniors who are interested in pursuing the Fine Arts Diploma Seal will need to complete a form outlining their intent by April 23rd.
Students must complete the requirements for the Diploma Seal by April 30th.

Continue using the Band app as we have throughout the semester. Check at least every other day for updates, or turn on notifications. Work should be completed using materials you have at home.
Do NOT feel pressure to go out and purchase additional supplies. Switching to materials you already have should not negatively affect your score. Consider switching to smaller format pieces to keep the work manageable. |

The number of project grades you will have depends on the number of artworks you complete. Some students may choose to create a series of many small artworks, while some students may create only 3 extremely large and involved artworks. It is normal to see blank spaces in StudentVue that are placeholders for future artworks. |

Due every Friday:
Watch an Art21 video of your choice, then create visual journal page in your sketchbook documenting the artist. You can search through the videos or search by artist name. You do not have to watch an entire Art 21 episode (hour long). Look for video segments that are around 10 minutes long. http://www.art21.org/videos This should be 1 side of a 2-page spread in your visual journal and will include the following:

Submit any evidence of your process. Evidence may include some or all of the following pieces. Sketchbook pages with plans for future artworks Media tests that inform your decision-making Alternate versions of artworks, demonstrating revision. Photographs of you working in an unconventional manner. Note: Photos of half-completed artworks that are presented in a "step-by-step" format are NOT considered evidence of process and revision. |

AP Art and Design consists of 2 parts. There is NOT a traditional "test" that students must take, although they are still expected to pay for the cost of the AP exam like other AP classes.

Sustained Investigation
Students submit 15 digital images representing a semester-long investigation of an idea. This idea is entirely their own. The 15 images contain photos of sketches, process, and completed works.
With each artwork, students will need to explain the following in short, written format.
Quality
